While our trip to Kauai, Hawaii was evolving I was posting here moments of it. From the beginning till the end. We flew Dec 31st at 10:45 am EST from Boston and this photo journal begun a few hours before 2018 broke in! Here's our dynamic itinerary.
Our itinerary came out dynamic, day by day, as we saw fit according to mood for the day. Looking back to it we could not have done it better! It was our best trip ever. We alternated hiking days with more restful beach days and we started with shorter hikes that were made longer as days went by and we felt more ready for them.
Day 1: Polihale beach and Hanapepe Swinging Bridge
Day 2: Kilauea Lighthouse, Kuilau Ridge Trailhead, Poipu Shopping Centre
Day 3: Diving day, Poipu Beach Park, Koloa History Center
Day 4: Waimea Canyon Hikings, Kalalau Trail Lookout
Day 5: Anini Beach, Hanalei Beach
Day 6: Kalalau Trail up to Hanakapiai Beach
Day 7: Helicopter ride and Mahaulepu Heritage Trail
Day 8: Lydgate Park
Day 9: Alakai Swamp Trail

Then we took our way back home with a stop at Koloa town at the Koloa History Center

After the first two miles you end up in this gorgeous beach:

And we're back to the Ke'e Beach were we started off our hike

Day 7: From highs to lows: Helicopter Ride + Beach Hiking
