Kassi was looking forward to her long weekend trip to Edinburgh with her boyfriend. She had booked her flights but the accommodation was still in the air as she had a very busy schedule. I have a passion for finding unique and beautiful places to stay so I offered myself: "Kassi darling, don't worry about a thing. I will do the search for you and I will come up with the best house to fully enjoy your stay in Edindurgh".
All memorable trips start and end with the space you choose to unwind, get cozy and especially get a real feeling of the place you visit. But I wanted to make it a tad bit more special for Kassi. Edingburgh is a European city full of history and architectural heritage. Why not live in some of this grandeur.
And this is exactly what happened. I had my hawk-eye at work and a day later Kassi had a Wishlist of two special links in her Inbox - she only had to choose one and contact the host as soon as possible so she could book before these gems were gone.
I had no less anticipation for that trip than Kassi! On the day of her check in I received the first delightful message from her: "My darling thank you so much! This home is so very much beautiful! I want you to help me again find a place for my future trips".
Kassi stayed in a part of a listed Victorian terrace, typical of the style which was built in the 1890’s in this part of Edinburgh, exhibiting the exuberance of Scottish Baronial architecture.
"The huge living room boasts a 12ft high ceiling, marble fire place with open gas fire, ideal for the winter evenings, Persian rugs, luxurious Italian leather sofa, armchair and Ottoman, large screen TV with all Freeview channels, office area and graceful six place dining area in the bright bay window, from where you can entertain in style or simply watch the world passing by. The kitchen has everything you’ll need from stove through washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer to Nespresso coffee maker (but you'll need to bring your own capsules of your favourite brew!). The bathroom is well lit with fluffy white towels and has a bath with shower overhead, hand basin and toilet."
If you are planning a trip to Edindburgh here's more of this lovely house on the Airbnb website. Hopefully it is free for your dates :)
